Fraser River Tour

The Conference Tour this year was a trip up the Fraser River from New Westminster to Fort Langley aboard the sternwheeler "Native". Because of the swift current at this time of year, the trip upstream took over four hours, resulting in a shorter than normal visit to historic Fort Langely. (Translation: some of us didn't make it beyond the pub).

Where are we? Dietmar, Suzanne, Gail, and Jacky consult the map. Above left, the CN railway bridge opens. Lower left, the Port Mann Bridge doesn't.
The bridge of the Native, with nobody at the helm (!).
It's over! Conference organizers Bob Perkins and Bob Browne relax for the first time in a week.

Whether on deck, or below, passengers enjoyed the day. Right: Bedford Channel on the return trip from Fort Langley
