2017 C3 Conference Tour Information

Tour 1: Thursday May 25th 2017, 5:00 – 6:00pm: Mill Street Brewery

Cost: $5/person

The Mill Street Brewery is located in the historic Distillery District of Toronto (www.thedistillerydistrict.com), in one of the original tank houses of the Gooderham & Worts Distillery Complex. In addition to regular brewing operations, the site produces a number of seasonal beers in small batches, and includes a copper still to produce Mill St. Bierschnaps.  The tour includes a tour of the brewery and still, a tutored beer flight tasting, and a sample of Bierschnaps. A restaurant booking will be made for 6 p.m. for people interested in staying in the Distillery District for dinner.

Tour 2: Friday May 26th 2017, 1:00 – 2:00 pm: JLABS@Toronto

 

JLABS (http://jlabs.jnjinnovation.com) is an initiative of Johnson & Johnson Innovation that provides state-of-the-art laboratory facilities and instrumentation, as well as scientific and business mentoring, to start-up companies based in the healthcare sector.  JLABS@Toronto is the first location outside of the US.  It is based in the MaRS Discovery District, strategically located between the research hospitals making up the University Health Network, and the downtown campus of the University of Toronto.  The tour of this 40,000-square foot facility will showcase both the wide array of instrumentation and the modular and scalable design used to provide flexible research and development space to numerous companies and initiatives.
